TV snack looks good. I love grapes and cherries... and I love the idea of melon, especially watermelon, but I just can't quite get into it.

I think I was ruined by watermelon tasting things like sweets and ice lollies.... So when I got the real thing it tasted too, erm.. what's the word I'm looking for? Oh yes... Too 'healthy'.

I try a chunk about once a month when I'm carving it up for the parrot... But alas, my taste-buds still haven't adjusted.

I'll keep trying though, and if I still don't like it.... I'm gonna learn how to do this!

I didn't finish the melon either I have no taste buds or they do actually have very little taste.

I have had my two days off from being a vegan so I am now back on the vegan for the next two days.

I have decided to do it this way in order to 'dip my foot' in just to see how sustainable it could be for me personally.

Having to cook for my son who is not a vegan means it is harder to avoid the foods that I am used to eating and I am constantly tempted by them.

I have also run out of my bean dip which was amazingly tasty so tomorrow I will make some more.

After another two days of eating only vegan foods I will then decide if I can imagine doing this for as long as a week.  I am going away on Wednesday to Ibiza self catering so I will see how I feel when I am there.  I may decide to stick to vegetables but I really do enjoy my meat and cheese.

I do not have unrealistic expectations of this experiment.

But veganism does fascinate me so this project was well worth embarking on.

Also, meat is very expensive.  Imagine the cost of your shopping without any meat items.  You could save a fortune.

So I am still in two minds and undecided.  The experiment continues.....................

Ooh... Crisps. I don't think I've tried them in that form. I'll have to look into it

They are really nice, parsnip, beetroot and I think sweet potato crisps.  Very thinly sliced and fried.

A local restaurant around my area used to do them on the side in a little bowl along side your sandwich but since they changed hands they no longer do them anymore.

I did try to make them myself once but they were just not the same.
