I have been really craving brown bread and whole wheat cous cous so I have looked up what it means as I believe that our bodies can naturally direct us towards the foods we may be lacking in our diet.

When you crave brown bread it means:

You are possibly lacking in serotonin, dopamine, and other relaxing endorphins in the brain.

To crave whole wheat cous cous  means you possibly are lacking selenium, which may aid in the prevention of heart disease

I often crave mushrooms too

Apparently this could be due to a lack of:

Antioxidants 
Pantothenic acid (good for nervous system) 
Vitamin D 
Vitamin B 
Riboflavin (helps biuld red blood cells) 
Niacin (healthy skin) 

And the last one food I have been wanting is onion, had a cheese and onion sarnie just now.

Onions are a good source of dietary fiber, Vitamin B6, Folate, Potassium and Manganese, and a very good source of Vitamin C

So what foods have you been anchoring towards lately?

Excellent I'm glad you posted that as I keep reading about how good nuts are supposed to be to eat.  Seems like they could replace a lot of of the naughty foods we often crave.

I craved a chicken burger yesterday so that is what I am making later today. Bought some chicken burgers, some seeded buns, tomatoes, lettuce, and mayonnaise. Will make that around 7 pm'ish, and because I was buying all that stuff, I also got bacon so tomorrow will be BLT's 🙂

The chicken burgers were absolutely stunning, totally destroyed McDonalds or any takeaway, should do that more often. Quite looking forward to making my BLT's today, am thinking of doing the bacon in the oven instead of frying, and just getting it all nice & crispy 🙂
